Payments to Creative Arts Council should he $500.00 instead of $1000.00. 1a. Add that Adrienne Caselle would send a letter to CPPC regarding the Council's recommendation that the Pearl Street School he utilized by the town as a community/arts center. Old Business a. Brochure: no f uther news b. Message Board: no new information c. Publicity: Diane Slezak expressed her appreciation to Beverly McAleer for her assistance in the creation of the Arts Council application poster. New Business Adrienne Caselle brought a copy of the letter she seat to CPDC concerning the use of the Pearl Street School as a community Farts center. No further information has come from the CPDC conc=erning this recommendation. Adrienne expressed concern over the recent decision to name the Bandstand in Donor of Pacino because he "initiated the Band concerts," which is not entirely true. Discussion ensued concerning the arts Councils role, especially through member Lorraine McC-arthT in the formation of the idea for the concert series, for which the Recreation Department became an agent. Fran Brown said she would call Lorraine and contact the Recreation Department for clarification on the issue. Ne ?t meeting will be on September 1, 196~j at 7:15,.
