Minutes from the January 26, 1994 meeting were approved. Treasurer's report was accepted. Unfortunately the Reeding High School field trip to Salem was cancelled so they will not be using the grant money we approved. State information: The date by which the state was to approve grants was delayed because of inclement weather, resulting in a delay of information at the local level. The Massachusetts Advocates for the Arts, Sciences and Humanities, MARSH, sent info about membership. "Guide to the Arts" brochure was printed and ready for distribution. Thank you to Chris who did a wonderful job designing the new brochure. We stuffed some of the brochures with "350th Celebration" info and a meeting was set for Monday, March 28th to finish at Alice's house. We divided the task of distributing the brochures around Reading. A letter from Ms. Horn responding to our dismay over the "School dotes" article about our funding of Kiliam grants was discussed. Diane will work on nominations for the new officers for next year. We will also need three new members. The 1994 Community Input Meeting will be on September 21st. We are hoping for a presentation by the Reading Association for the Fine and Performing Arts. Erline suggested we give future grant money to the group. We discussed this and whether we might in the future support only one or two main grants. Perhaps this also could be discussed at the input meeting. The next meeting was moved from April 26th to k1gy 18t 7:30, RILL, conference room. Respectfully submitted, Diane N.
