Members present: Donna Callahan, Jeanne Freeman, David Mitchell,
Ron Morse, Erline Robinson, Karin Samatis, And Lee Selzer.
Minutes were approved.
There was no treasurer's report available.
State update: The MCC has the opportunity to ask the NEA for
additional funds. Local councils have been asked for field in-
put. Instructions and format will be sent. The state had hoped
to submit material in late January. Karin will need volunteers.
Annual Report - 1994: Lee Selzer has offered to type.
Arts Council Logo: Discussion was held about sponsoring a contest
open to all residents of Reading, to redesign the Arts Council
logo. We need to cheek on 350th logo guidelines and get rolling
by this spring. Schools need to be notified ASAP. (A great
portfolio piece for a graphics-bound student.) Advertizing would
be in the Chronicle and displays would be in the Library, Town Hall,
Chronicle, and N.W. Weekly (thanks Ron).
There were questions concerning a possible prize?
Grant RejectionstQuestions: The Band Parents and Killa.m School
both had questions regarding this years grants. Karin addressed
these questions with both parties.
Meeting Schedule: the 1995 meeting schedule was handed out. there
is a possible change in the April meeting.
Other Business: We need to check on the exact deadline for 1995
grants. (10/15/95)is a Sunday.) Approval of the 1994 grants
should be in by the end of February.
Motion to adjourn was made by Jeanne and seconded by Ron.
