The report stated that the Joshua Eaton PTO had submitted for payment. EMARC also held its program, and therefore, submission for reimbursement is expected within the month. With this, all grants from the 2003-2004 year will be paid. Mail: ® We received a letter from the LCC stating that all training for Cultural Council members is now online and any member is required to become trained within 3 months of being appointed. ® We receive a note of thank you from the EMARC program. Community Input Survey: The RCC recently distributed the Community Input Survey around the town and collected the responses. The survey was approved by the superintendent's office, distributed to several homerooms in the high school and collected. Copies were also left at town hall and at the library open house where additional responses were collected. Among the information collected in this survey were the names and contact information for people who answered that they were interested in becoming more active with cultural events in town. We will be making personal contact calls to these people in the hope of raising greater community involvement. We discussed plans of making a database of the results, and we will review the results at a future meeting. Friends and family Day: We discussed plans for the Reading Friends and Family Day, and will discuss plans further at the June meeting. May 18¢h meeting: An email was sent to the neighboring Cultural Councils from Lynnfield, Wakefield, Woburn, Stoneham, Andover, North Reading, Melrose, Methuen and Winchester inviting them to our May 18th meeting. At this meeting we will discuss successes and strategies used by other councils in hopes of getting new ideas. We will be contacting those people who gave their names on the community input survey and inviting them to this meeting as well. We also discussed refreshments for this meeting.
