MEETING CALLED TO ORDER - 7:10 pm MEMBERS PRESENT - Liz Whitelam, Anne Hooker, Karyn Storti, Kathy Kelly, Lorraine Horn, Patrick Holland, Vicky Schubert TREASURER'S REPORT - Anne Hooker reported that: • The council's account balance showed an increase of $378, reflecting an interest allocation from the town funds. It was discussed and agreed that the $378 should be considered administrative funds, freeing up the full amount of our allotment from the MCC to be used for grantmaking purposes. • The unused portion of the council's 2006 grant to Harold Bond in the amount of $30 must be regranted within two years, and not used for administrative purposes. It was discussed and agreed that we would include the $30 in the total available for grants to the current class of applicants. • Marie Stiles, our contact in the Town Clerk's office, was scheduled to retire effective February 15, 2008. SECRETARY'S REPORT - Minutes of the October 23, 2007 meeting were submitted and approved. APPLICATION REVIEW AND VOTING Members of the Council considered and voted on 2 PASS grant applications and 10 LCC grant applications, awarding $5,590 in grant monies. Presently, there are four grants from 2006 outstanding: REEF- Ruby Bridges $1,700.00 RS® 600.00 Creative Arts 750.00 Drum & Bugle Corps 500.00 Total: $3,550.00 The Drum & Bugle Corp submitted their reimbursement request; however they are missing a receipt. I will contact them directly. As previously reported, Harold Bond had requested and was approved for a grant in the amount of $110.00. He was under budget, and was reimbursed $80.00. The $30.00 difference may be applied to grants for either this year, or the 2008 grant cycle. These monies may not be applied to the administrative fund. Our currently administrative dollars are $281.64. In July 2007 the Town of Reading credited our account with the required interest. My records show an increase of $378.00 on our balance sheet after June 3e. I will confirm with the accounting department tomorrow (November 28th) that this is the case. This being stated, our account is currently in balance at $4,239.64. I was informed today that my contact in the accounting office, Marie Styles, will be retiring on February 15th.
