MEETING CALLED TO ORDER - 7:05 pm Z901 SEP 16 P 08
MEMBERS PRESENT - Liz Whitelam, Anne Hooker, Karyn Storti, Patrick Holland, Vicky
Schubert, Sudie Fay
MINUTES of the May 6, 2008 meeting were approved.
INTRODUCTIONS
Sudie Fay was introduced as a new member of the Council.
CORRESPONDENCE
It was noted that a number of thank you notes and reimbursement requests had been received. AH
reported that there are two outstanding requests from the last grant cycle.
• The Drum & Bugle Corps has failed to submit one receipt and has been notified that if
they do not produce the missing receipt by June 30, they will be awarded only the amount
for which we have received documentation.
• The Community Connection has been notified that we need a corrected request reflecting
their actual spending and receipts.
COMMUNITY INPUT SURVEY
LW reported that she had not been able to access the back end of the survey on the town website
during the last couple of weeks, so had no new results to share. There have been about 30
responses so far. Some respondents have expressed interest in membership. The survey will be
left active through the remainder of the summer.
TOWN DAY
LW reported that she had run into problems with the printing of the rulers we had hoped to order.
The rulers will be made of plastic instead of wood. They will read "The Value of the Arts is
Immeasurable," and will bear the MCC logo. We will receive 350 rulers in time for Town Day.
Staffing assignments for the Town Day table were decided.
WRAP UP FOR THE YEAR
Next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 16 at 7:30, in Police Station Community Room.
It was decided that meetings during the 2009 grant year would commence at 7:30 instead of 7:00.
After thanks and farewells to our departing members, Anne Hooker and Karyn Storti, and
acknowledgement of the generous volunteer service of departing member Kathy Kelly who
wasn't present, the meeting adjourned at approximately 7:35.
Respectfully submitted,
Vicky Schubert
