Financial Report was reviewed and moved by Dave Brigham and seconded by Betty Cronin. 9-0-0. The Administrator's report was reviewed and moved by Dottye Foxon and seconded by Joanne Wooldridge. 9-0-0. The Knox Box program was presented. The Fire Department will order the boxes for us to get the best price available. The telephone reassurance program is a natural to work in conjunction with the Knox Boxes. Members want to be kept informed of the use of Burbank trust monies for the Property Tax Work program. Betty Cronin reported on the Scuttlebutt field trip organized by her husband John. The group will go on the Cassin Young and by part of the turnaround exercise. Administrator excused herself so the board members could complete her personnel evaluation. Bond MONTHLY REPORT HUMAN SERVICES/ELDER AND HUMAN SERVICES MAY 2000 Special Remarks: ♦ Social Worker attended Mystic Valley Providers' Meeting. e Social Worker and volunteer Nurse Practitioner held one Alzheimer Support Group. ♦ Coordinator of Volunteers' Volunteer Reception was well received. ♦ EOEA Incentive Grant FY'01 was submitted to explore need for Grandparents Raising Grandchildren support group. ♦ Social Worker worked five cases with Police Department. ♦ All the equipment in the Center's office has been installed. ♦ Patron donated 50 VCR tapes for the Center's library. ♦ Booklet of services and programs was revised and is available. ♦ Bob Ford, elder law attorney, presented program on long-term care options. ♦ Helen Long, Registered Dietician, presented nutrition program. ♦ Center was used as Census 2000 "check-in" site for workers. ♦ Low Vision and Arthritis support groups met. ♦ Staff evaluations were completed. ♦ Explored with Chair of Substance Abuse Advisory Committee a program for seniors.
