S Dick Anderson, Chairman, opened the meeting at 6:35 pm. Present we`Be y Cronin, 8: 1, Barbara Powers, Carole Scrima, Carol Patterson, Edwina Kasper, Marguerite Bosnian, associate member and Dawn Folopoulos, Administrator. Absent: Stacey Bertocchi, Sally Hoyt, Ruth Goldberg, and Dottye Foxon. February minutes accepted. Motion by Betty, 2nd by Carol. Administrator's Report: accepted Motion wa's made to approve the purchase of 10 binders and dividers the purchase price of $55.66 to come out of the Burbank fund. Motion made by Carol Patterson, 2nd by Carole Scrima. Passed unanimously. Annual report was reviewed Dawn explained that the Consultant's Report suggests the Senior Center Coordinator, in addition to the current duties, take on the responsibility of coordinating the volunteers. This could possibly put the Coordinator of Volunteers position (currently 21/week) in jeopardy. The COA suggested that Dawn keep a record of the COV many duties and their importance to the seniors. A motion was made to eliminate meetings in July and August, 2006. e Motion made by Carole, 2"d by Betty. Vote - unanimous Ideas for a booth at the 3rd Annual Town Day on June 17 were discussed. A more upbeat look and hand-outs were suggested. Plastic bags with the COA logo on it, filled with pamphlets, information, give-aways etc. The idea of a Reading crossword puzzle was met with great enthusiasm. Many of the shutters in the Arts & Crafts Room, the computer Room and the lounge are in need of replacement. Dawn needs ideas on replacements options. A motion was made to purchase a digital camera and accessories to be used to take pictures at the Senior Center. Estimated expenditure is $315.00 from the Burbank Fund. Motion made by Carol Patterson, 2pd by Carole Scrima. Passed unanimously. March Pleasantries is first issue printed by Senior Citizen's Publishing, Inc. A requested change to the format was that board members want their names listed on the front page. This month's ink was green. The color of the ink is chosen by the publisher and is usually based on that month's holidays.
