Excused: Sally Hoyt 6:35 Meeting called to order. Administrator's Report approved and accepted. New Nurse Advocate, Diane Luther, is most interested in assisted frail seniors who lack social supports like family or close friends. Financial Report approved and accepted. The Administrator presented a memorandum to the COA, which requests $250.00 from the Burbank Trust Fund to provide entertainment at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Reception. Ruth made a motion that the COA authorize the funding from the Burbank Trust of $250.00 2nd by Barbara. Old Business Reminder COA members are invited to the Halloween Party at the Senior Center from 3-5 on October 30, 2007. New Business Updated list of board members for COA FY08 distributed. Discussion about the delivery of holiday meals. The Schroeder Fund pays for 30 meals for Thanksgiving and 30 meals for Christmas. The Administrator recorded those willing to volunteer to pick up the meals from Boston Market and make the deliveries to seniors for the holidays. Steve suggested Elder Services investigate which local stores offer senior discounts and make a list available for our seniors. Barbara will bring a list of senior discounts that the Wakefield Senior Center offers their residents. September 10, 2007 Minutes accepted as written. The enlargement of the photo with the double rainbow over the Senior Center was presented and accepted. Motion to Adjourn 7:45 Respectfully submitted, Stacey Bertocchi
