HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-07-18 Conservation Commission MinutesMinutes - Conservation Commission - EXECUTIVE SESSION - July 18, 2001 2001 CtC }n theConservation Commission A ECUTIVE SESSION a D Town of Reading %elect 6i 0Meeting Room - Town Hall Wednesday, July 18, 2001-11:10 pm Present: Nancy Eaton, Chair, Will Finch, Douglas Greene, and Patricia Lloyd, Commissioners, Leo Kenney, Consultant and Conservation Administrator Fran Fink Commission voted to go into Executive Session on roll call vote, not to return to open session to discuss DEP settlement meeting for the proposed elementary school site project between Sunset Rock/Roma Lane, Dividence Road/ Fox Run Lane and the Town Forest. Appellant Mola and counsel showed up without their engineer. Town representatives included Leigh Gilligan, Gadsby and Hannah, representing the Town, Dr. Harry Harutunian, Superintendent of Schools, Sidney Bowen, architect, several consultants, and from the Commission Eaton, Greene, Finch and Fran Fink, Administrator. All present discussed project history and environmental concerns, water budget, site access and vegetation removal. DEP attorney told them the project met the standards and appellant would probably lose, recommending they take what modifications could be negotiated. The Town was encouraged to offer mitigation to prevent the process from dragging out. DEP asked applicant to specify what it is they want. Eaton will meet with the group again next week in the Administrator's absence to continue settlement discussions. Any member who is available and interested in attending should let her know so she can let them know the time and location. Will Finch moved and Patricia Lloyd seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting from Executive Session at 11:15 pm. Eaton, Chair 2001, DEC -b P 2. 3 8 Minutes of the Conservation Commission EXECUTIVE SESSION Town of Reading Selectmen's Meeting Room Wednesday, August 8, 2001 -10:00 pm Executive Session: Pat Lloyd moved and Doug Greene seconded a motion to go into Executive Session regarding school litigation to return to open session in approximately ten minutes. Roll call vote: Pat Lloyd: Yes; Doug Greene: Yes; Nancy Eaton: Yes; and Will Finch: Yes. 4-0 in favor. Proposed witness list was distributed. After discussion, Pat Lloyd moved and Doug Greene seconded a motion that the administrator talk to counsel and add Nancy Eaton and Joe Delaney to the witness list and remove her name. Roll call vote: Pat Lloyd: Yes; Doug Greene: Yes; Nancy Eaton: Yes; and Will Finch: Yes. 4-0 in favor. Pat Lloyd moved and Will Finch seconded a motion to adjourn the Executive Session to Open Session.
