The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Old/New Business:
Reading Memorial High School, Oakland Road, Order of Conditions, DEP 270-416, RGB
2003-51
Superindent Pat Schettini, Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner, Josh Alton, project
engineer, Steve Shaughnessy and Scott Dunlap from AD, and Carol McDonough and Elaine
Webb for the School Committee were present.
Superindent Schettini presented site plan revisions calling for paving under the benches at
the lacrosse field and track surface materials in the D-zones between the track and the
football field. The plan for the D-zones did not meet Riverfront Area standards for
vegetative cover. The group discussed various alternatives that might improve the RFA in
other locations nearby. The Commission asked the School representatives to investigate
further and revise the proposed plans.
The Commission also raised a number of problems related to failures of erosion controls on
the site in recent months, with the result that the Aberjona River has received sediments on a
number of occasions since construction began. The group agreed to initiate weekly site
inspections with representatives from all parties to improve communications about problems
and how to address them.
Mr. Greene moved to accept the proposed paving under the lacrosse field benches as an
insignificant plan change under the Order of Conditions. Ms. Longley seconded. Vote 5-0.
Public Hearing, Notice of Intent, Lots between 30 and 54 Azalea Circle, DEP 270-442,
RGB 2005-13
The Chairman opened the hearing. Don Seaberg, engineer, presented revised site plans.
The Commission reviewed comments from Ms. Fink and asked questions. Mr. Seaberg
answered. The Commission asked for revisions in the proposed dry well.
Virginia Adams, Azalea Circle, commented on the proposed loss of trees, and asked about
visual buffering and headlights.
Dick Nazzaro, President, Greenhouse Acres Condominium, expressed concern about
possible wetlands impacts, the stability of the existing retaining wall, and tracking of dirt
onto the roadway.
Mr. Wetzel moved to continue the hearing to June 22, 2005. Mr. Goldy seconded. Vote 5-0.

The Chairman opened the hearing. Mr. and Mrs. Harotltunian, applicants, and Fred Geisel,
wetlands consultant, were present. Mr. Geisel presented revised site plans.
The Commission and Ms. Fink asked questions. Mr. Geisel answered.
Ms. Longley moved to continue the hearing to June 15, 2005. Mr. Goldy seconded.
Vote 5-0.
Public Hearing, Notice of Intent, David Farwell, 65 Dividence Road, DEP 270-453,
RGB 2005-21
At the request of the applicant, the Commission postponed the hearing to June 15, 2005.
Public Hearing, Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation, Camp Curtis Guild,
25 Haverhill Street, DEP 270-452, RGB 2005-22

Public Hearing, Notice of Intent, 112 Scotland Road, RGB 2005-23
The Chairman opened the hearing. Mr. and Mrs. Sahagian, applicants, and Nancy
Twomey, architect, were present.
Sandy Matathia and Bob Nordstrand were present for Reading Open Land Trust and
distributed a letter dated June 7, 2005.
The Commission discussed the issues raised in the letter. The Commission then reviewed
and amended draft Findings and Conditions.
Ms. Longley moved to close the hearing.. Mr. Goldy seconded. Vote 5-0.
Ms. Longley moved to issue an Order of Conditions with the Findings and Conditions as
amended this evening. Mr. Wetzel seconded. Vote 4 in favor-1 against. The motion
carried.
Public Hearing, Notice of Intent, Town of Reading Public Works Department, Strout
Avenue, DEP 270-445, RGB 2005-14
At the request of the applicant, the Commission postponed the hearing to July 13, 2005.
Public Meeting, Request for Determination of Applicability, 57 Longwood Road, RGB
2005-26
The Chairman opened the hearing. Brad Latham, attorney, and Libby Wallis, wetlands
consultant were present for Johnson Woods Realty Corporation, the applicant. Ms. Wallis
presented the plan for a house, driveway, retaining walls, and drainage trenches.
The Commission and Ms. Fink asked questions, and Ms. Wallis answered.
Tony Covino, 9 Kelch Road, asked whether the lot would be subdivided in the future. Mr.
Latham said nothing was proposed at this time. The Commission noted that transfer of any

Mr. Wetzel moved to accept the Minor Project Permit for a shed. Mr. Greene seconded.
Vote 5-0.
294 Main Street
Mr. Greene moved to issue a Certificate of Compliance with the Enforcement Order
attached. Mr. Wetzel seconded. Vote 5-0.
335 Main Street
The Commission will contact the owner and order that a plan to address the continuing
violation be submitted by June 10, 2005, or fines may ensue.

Ms. Longley moved to accept the minutes of September 8, 2004 as.drafted. Mr. Greene
seconded, Vote 5-0.
Ms. Longley moved to accept the minutes of September 29, 2004 as drafted. Mr. Greene
seconded, Vote 5-0.
Ms. Longley moved to accept the minutes of October 13, 2004 as drafted. Mr. Greene
seconded, Vote 5-0.

Ms Fink reported that a punch list had been sent to, Scott Dunlap.
The meeting adjourned.
