Pursuant to a legally posted meeting the Ad Hoc Community Preservation Act Study
Committee convened on March 8, 2007 at 7:05 PM in the Senior CenteM PU40t SA 9 31
Reading Ma.
Present Clayton Jones , Mary Ellen Stolecki , William Brown , Camille Anthony , Karen
Flammia and Israel Maycut
Also Present George Katsoutis CPDC , Virginia Adams Historical , James Bonazoli

Clayton Jones gave out charts showing CPA vote upcoming, successful and unsuccessful
and matching funds distribution and CPA spending
Israel Maycut presented the CPDC reasons for endorsing the CPA, the CPDC feels that
the CPA is in line with the goal of the Master Plan and would help the Town in meeting
the ten percent affordable housing and help prevent 40 B
Karen Flammia presented the Reading Housing Authority reasons for endorsing the CPA
and felt that the R.HA could act faster to buy housing units if they had funds , the
committee felt that perhaps there should be a housing partnership similar to Bedford.
Mary Ellen Stolecki presented the recreation committees plan for funds , more playing
fields , bike paths etc .
Clayton Jones presented the Historical Commission plan for funds , recoding of
documents , restoration of stone walls etc
