The committee decided to work on a mission statement to let people know what we are here for and to keep ourselves focused. The brainstorming notes were to be typed up by Tracy. The committee listed publicity opportunities including the possibility of a kick-off announcement or press event with Selectmen and possibly representatives from other town committees and departments (Town Manager, School Superintendent, Police Chief, DPW, School Committee, etc.). Newspaper articles, newsletter articles (Town and RMLD newsletters to all dwellings) and the booth at Friends and Family Day (June). Tracy had some ideas to present regarding developing a pledge and info sheet, with conservation options from the three categories Transportation, Energy and Waste. 15teph~iie-read off many of the ideas on the possible name for the Committee with members zeroing in on the words: Energy, Climate Vtotection and Neighbors.
