Votes: Meeting minutes from 2-22-06 were accepted, revised mission statement and intern job description were accepted. Ron handed out copies of the Grant application that Peter Hechenbleikner submitted to MADEP for Tree-scaping on South Main St. and retrofits on 13 RMDL diesel vehicles. Peter also supplied copies of emails from town departments expressing interest in the grant funding opportunity, and a letter to the town from the IRWA regarding the water treatment plant rebuild. Peter also provided feedback on the mission and publicity materials delivered to him on Friday March 3rd. Regarding the committee name, he indicated that since the selectmen named the committee, to change the committee name would require a visit to the selectmen, however we can call our program the Reading Neighbors Climate and Energy Program with no problem (Reading NCEP). The suggestion was that we might want to have a number of issues together to bring to the selectmen at some future time. There were some suggested changes to the mission statement and the intern job description which were discussed and accepted. The publicity blurb was okayed by Peter and Tracy/Stephanie will make the changes on committee name, mission, and a few details and will get it to Peter Hechenbleikner so that it will be in the March 15th Community Connection. We will ask Michele about getting it into the RMLD newsletter. On March 16th, there is a Citizens Advisory Board meeting at RMLD, and Mary Ellen has requested that our committee be represented there at 7:30 on their agenda. Ron can attend, Gina will also try to be there. There is a small amount of funds left over from Town Meeting's appropriation for the committee and they are available until June. The committee discussed the funds and voted to have Stephanie check into options for canvas bags, with Ron checking to see 1) if the Atlantic would like to match the funds 3/10/06
