Meeting opening - Chair Michele Benson opened the meeting. Minutes - The previous meeting's minutes were not yet available. The agenda item was tabled. MPO Meeting with Peter - Michele, Ron & Tracy met with Peter today. The next step in the grant process is to set up an "account" with EOTPW. This meeting was to cover which parts of the shuttle service should the ACCCP be involved in or whether there would be a new committee to manage it. Peter was thinking that a Task Force might be more appropriates, but needs more time to think on it. Peter thought the town should hire a consultant to make fine-tuning decisions on how the shuttle is run, but he did ask if the ACCCP could handle the branding contest. Regarding announcing the grant, the proper procedure is to let the state senators make the first announcement. After that, we could write an article about it. We can begin the prep work on articles & RCTV items to have ready for the launch. The committee should be involved, along with Carol, in approaching the business community about sponsorships. Most other work will be taken off our hands, given the new Transportation Services position. But we do want to ensure that the "green" mission of the shuttle service is maintained. "Green vehicle language" will be included in the RFP and one ACCCP representative could be on the ad hoc committee to get the service up & running. RCTV Program - Tracy has a PC version of the editing software and would then be able to do some of the work from home. We would need to "join" RCTV and take a class. 1-2-3 Pledge for RMLB - The meeting paused for the 1-2-3 Pledge presentation to RMLB. Action Plan items updates - Michele talked to Paula about town codes, but they don't look to be a good fit for green language. Perhaps the Energy Act will change that because our codes will follow the state codes.. Dave has some codes from a previous project but, for example, the list of recyclable objects is written into the contract with JRM, so that can't change until the contract is up. There may be opportunities to insert "green text" into zoning bylaws. Other Business - The committee discussed possible titles and number of sub-topics for the first Green Sense tv program.
