Committee Notes for December 10, 2008. 7PM (Next Meeting - Jan. 14 at Town Hall)
Present were Michele Benson, Gina Snyder, Tracy Sopchak, Ron D'Addario, Joan Boegel, Bing Xia, Dave Williams
and Stephanie Anderberg.
Meeting opening -Chair Michele Benson opened the meeting.
i`
Minutes - A motion was made and approved to accept the Oct. 22nd and Nov. 19 meeting minutes.
Selectmen's meetong on 2/24 - the committee will need to update/edit/add to the Action Pan Items on
our tracking table, to help us summarize our progress so far. A subcommittee will meet and go over the updates.
New Action Plan assignments for the New Year - Michele reorganized our Action Items list to up\date
which have moved into the "maintenance" category and we need to look at the next level of items to see what
should be worked on next. A specific item to add might be to ask the T to provide additional bike racks at the
train station, as well as "no idling" signs. Community ridesharing might also be something to promote in the new
year. Community renewable energy can be moved to the "maintenance" level. Committee members should
review the Action Items list and let Michele know which ones they would like to work on.
Article participation - Tracy, Dave and Joan have agreed to write articles to help the core group keep up
the weekly schedule.
Earth Day - Michele booked the RMLD cafeteria for the Earth Day fair on April 4 - we'd like to have
more activities and interaction for kids.
Recycling ACCCP efforts - We need to evaluate whether to include the recycling drop off as part of this
year's Earth Day fair. There are pros and cons, but it seemed that not many of the drop-off participants stayed for
they fair last year.
Other - Tracy has been working to map out the new RCTV show's first episode.
