Board of Cemetery Trustees
Tuesday, May 2, 1995
Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of May 2, 1995
convened at 7:30 P.M. in the Arnold Berger Meeting Room, Reading
Town Hall.
Present: John Silvaggi, Chairman
Joyce Miller, Vice Chairman

Robert Keating, Supervisor of the Reading Cemeteries, was also
present.
1. Secretary Minutes
On a motion by Ms. Vincent, seconded by Mr. Fuller it was unani-
mously voted to accept the Secretary's minutes of the April 4,
1995 Trustees Meeting.
2. Review of Conservation Hearing on Wood End Cemetery
The April 26th Trustees Meeting with the Conservation Commission
was reviewed. Two of the remaining questions raised by the Com-
mission were: access to the Conservation land to the rear of the
Cemetery - and saving the trees bordering the Conservation
property.
Supervisor Keating will flag the trees in question with Tree War-
den Bud Dickey and will have Mr. Dickey attend the next Conserva-
tion hearing on may 10, 1995.
On a motion by Mr. Driscoll seconded by Ms. Miller, it was unani-
mously voted to provide a five (5) foot pedestrian access on the
west side of Wood End Cemetery from Franklin Street to the Con-
servation property. The Board feels that this will fulfill the
access needs. A memo of this motion was forwarded to the Conser-
vation Commission on May 3, 1995 by Mr. Keating.
The Trustees requested the Trustee Chairman to contact the Town
Manager as to what legal options the Trustees have in case of an
unfavorable decision by the Conservation Commission.
3. Review of Cemetery Fees
Based on the fact that the Cemetery Division is covering our
costs with the present fee structure, a motion was made by Mr.
Fuller seconded by Ms. Vincent, and it was unanimously voted to
retain the current fees on the Sale of Lots and Miscellaneous
charges.
4. Receipts
Supervisor Keating furnished the Trustees with copies of the
receipts from Sale of Lots and Miscellaneous charges for July
1994 through April 2, 1995.
