1. Secretary Minutes
On a motion by Joyce Miller, seconded by Dan Driscoll, it was unanimously voted to accept the
Secretary's minutes of the June 6, 1995 Trustees Meeting.
2. Re-Appointment to Board
Dan Driscoll has been reappointed to the Board by the Selectmen. At their meeting it was noted
what a valuable member Mr. Driscoll is to the Board. The Selectmen also noted that Reading is
fortunate that Supervisor Keating and the Board are dealing with Cemetery space problems before
the need becomes acute.
3. Election of Officers
By a unanimous vote of the Board, John Silvaggi was re-elected Chairman, Joyce Miller was
re-elected Vice Chairman and Mary Vincent was elected Secretary. Dan Driscoll was thanked for
the excellent job he has done as Secretary for the Board.
4. Wood End Cemetery
Supervisor Keating reported that 1300 feet of black paper barrier has been put in place at the site
for wetlands protection. It was noted that the co-operation between the Cemetery Department
and the Public Works Department will enable much of the Wood End work and site preparation
to be done in-house. This will save considerable money for the Town. Discussion was held on
Wood End funding.
5. New Business
Supervisor Keating reported that crack sealer has been applied to all roads in all cemeteries.
A letter was received from Mr. Gibbons. He asked that a marker for his father, a former Reading
resident, be placed in the Veteran's section. (This is a marker only, not a grave site). Mr. Driscoll
made a motion, seconded by Ms. Vincent, that request be granted. Vote was unanimous.
Superintendent Keating notified the Board that Camille Anthony is our new liasion with the Board
of Selectmen.
