HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-02-03 Board of Cemetery Trustees MinutesTown of Reading Board of Cemetery Trustees Tuesday, February 3, 1998 :ao Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of February 3, 1998 convened at 6:00 P.M. in the Berger Room, Reading Town Hall Annex, Reading, MA 01867 Present: Daniel F. Driscoll, Chairman Mary Vincent, Secretary William Brown Randolph Harrison Robert Keating, Superintendent of Cemeteries was also in attendance. Review of Past Meeting Minutes The minutes were accepted on a motion by William Brown, seconded by Randolph Harrison. Woodend Update Superintendent Keating reported that wraps have been put around the trees to protect them from animals. The Reading Municipal Light Department is still looking for a light for the flagpole at Wood End. New signs are ready and will be installed as weather permits. Superintendent Keating stated we are within our $200,000 frame work on work that has been done at Wood End. Drainage and asphalt road work were not figured into our original estimate. Irrigation can be installed in-house as we do not have to pay water costs from our budget back to the Town. New Business The Finance Committee meets March 4, 1998 and our budget will be presented then. Receipts Superintendent Keating reported that fees are behind. Residents are happy with the two price structure of Charles Lawn and Wood End. The Trustees feel we are enabling residents to buy a lot suited to their financial needs. Adjourn The meeting adjourned at 7:00 P.M. The next meeting of the Trustees will be Wednesday, March 4, 1998 at 6:00 P.M. We will then go to the Finance Committee for our budget presentation.
