Present: Daniel Driscoll, Chairman
John Silvaggi, Vice-Chairman
Mary Vincent, Secretary
William Brown
Randolph Harrison
Robert Keating, Superintendent of Cemeteries was also in attendance.
Review of Past Meeting Minutes
The minutes were accepted as amended. Randolph Harrison felt the request of Mrs.
Melandy in the May minutes should be clarified. The minutes were accepted as
amended on a motion by William Brown, seconded by John Silvaggi.
Memorial Day Services
Superintendent Keating reported that the Memorial Day services had been very well
attended. There was a Marine Detachment in full regalia as well as a crew from the
U.S.S. Constitution.
Donation of Trash Barrels
Margaret and Mary Slack have donated $1,500.00 to purchase eight metal trash barrels
for Forest Glen Cemetery. The Trustees accept with gratitude this generous donation.
Review of Parks/Forestry and Cemetery Division Consolidation
Superintendent Keating reported on the consolidation. He outlined for the Trustees some
of the communication problems he has faced as far as the maintenance of the Town parks
and school playing fields has been. Superintendent Keating got a late start in rectifying
some of the problems for this years activities.
Wood End Update
The Highway Department is putting in the drainage system. The finished roadway will
be in by early Summer.

Receipts
Receipts were reviewed by the Trustees. The price difference in lots at Charles Lawn and
Wood End seem to be meeting the needs of the citizens of Reading. Lots in both
cemeteries are selling.
New Business
Daniel Driscoll would be interested in serving another term on the Board. Randolph
Harrison is undergoing some medical treatments at this time, but would also be interested
in serving another term. The Board unanimously backed him in serving another term.
Adjourn
The meeting adjourned at 7:00 P.M. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the
Trustees will be Tuesday, September 8, 1998 at 6:00 P.M.
