The monies will come from the Cemetery bequest fund. The Board is making this contribution for the second consecutive year in response to the extreme fiscal restraints the town has encountered. This additional request for monies is placing a fiscal strain on an already inadequate bequest fund. The Board's opinion was that it cannot continue to make these contributions without adversely affecting the bequest fund. The board will take any further requests on an individual basis. This is, in fact, a time of extreme fiscal distress, and your cooperation and continuing to work with the Town on matters like this is very much appreciated. This kind of cooperation is what makes Reading the kind of community that it is. in er y, Peter I. Hechenbleikner Town Manager PIH/ps
