HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-06-05 Board of Cemetery Trustees MinutesTown of Reading Board of Cemetery Trustees Tuesday, June 5, 2001 C ERl`y Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of June 5, 2001 convened at &b0'P.Tv ?in t`446rger Room, 16 Lowell Street, Reading Town Hall. 2OQI AU -8 P 1; 31 Present: Mary Vincent, Chairman Daniel Driscoll, Vice Chairman William Brown, Secretary Roc O'Connell Steve Meehan Janet Baronian Also Present: Robert Keating, Superintendent; Gail Wood, Board of Selectmen Review of Past Meeting Minutes The Minutes of May 15, 2001 were reviewed and were accepted on a motion by Roc O'Connell and seconded by Steve Meehan. General Business Bob Keating reported that a 47 year old Reading woman was caught stealing flowers with her 2 year old grandchild, police will follow up. He explained the policy about the flag at the war memorial in response to a question by Mr. Bill Hughes, he is directed by the Town Manager unless there is a veteran being buried. The Board reviewed a letter by the Chair to DPW Director, Ted McIntire about Bob Keating's performance evaluation and approved the letter. The Board discussed the performance evaluation form with Selectman Wood along with the issue of Bob Keating's being at the top of his grade and the lack of being able to get a step increase. Selectman Wood will review the policy with Town Manager. The Board voted 6-0 to approve a new price structure dated July 1, 2001 to reflect the new labor contract for Saturday and Holidays, and fuel costs of burial boxes. Receipts Receipts are above expectations. Adjourn The meeting adjourned at 7:09PM. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Trustees will be Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at 6:00 P.M.
