Review of Past Meeting Minutes
The Minutes of December 4, 2001 were reviewed and approved on a motion by Dan Driscoll and seconded by
Steve Meehan.
Budaet Update
After lengthy discussion with the Town Manager and Town Treasurer the Board voted 5-0 to approve
$15,000.00 from the Perpetual Care Fund to help offset employee benefits of the department. Bob Keating
again warned, and the Board agreed, that continued raiding of the fund will not be in the best interest of the
fund, the Board must keep it's pledge to those that provided the funds.
Veteran's Flower Fund
Bill Brown reported that the Veteran's Flower Fund is just over $61,000.00, he was appointed as the Boards
representative to the Committee.
New Business
It was noted that fees for FY2001 exceeded expectations by $12,000.00 which goes to the general fund together
with the interest from the fees.
The Board also discussed Bob Keating's continued lack of a step promotion, he is at the top step in his grade
and can only get the cost of living raise. The Board continues to be concerned that we may lose him to another
town.
We still await as built drawing for Wood End, this hampers development.
Receipts
Receipts are ahead of schedule.
