Review of Past Meeting Minutes
The Minutes of May 7, 2002 were reviewed and approved on a motion by Dan Driscoll and seconded
by Steve Meehan.
General Business
Bob Keating noted that the Memorial Day Observance went well, and thanked all that helped. A
special note of thanks will be sent to Frank Driscoll and Ron Stortz for their special effort.
Seasonal contract help is working out well. Bob was able to replace a full time person that failed to
obtain a license required for the position.
Because of the large number of interments and early good weather, the grave liner and masonry budget
was short. The Board authorized the Chairman to O.K. a transfer if needed.
Because Wood End will be Readings last cemetery, the Board discussed other long-term options, the
Board will discuss some of these in the fall.
The Board voted Mary Vincent - Chairman, Roc O'Connell Vice Chair, and William Brown secretary
for the coming year. Janet Baronian will remain the Board Chauffeur.
Receipts
Receipts are going well, fees exceeded expected $125,000.00 and the Town general fund will gain
approximately 13,000.00 to $14,000.00. The Board will review this at budget time. Keeping more of
the fees would allow for development of Wood End and save the P.C. fund.
Adjourn
The meeting adjourned at 7:30PM. The next scheduled meeting of the Trustees will be Tuesday,
September 10, 2002 at 6:00 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
William C. Brown
Secretary
