March 6. 1996
7:40 p.m. Meeting called to order in the Employees' Lounge in Town Hall.
Members present: George Theophanis, Ed Murphy, Phil Pacino and Dolores Carroll.
Guest present: Ted McIntyre, Director of Public Works.
Minutes of Meeting #234 were read and on motion of George Theophanis, seconded by Ed
Murphy, accepted by a vote of 4-0.
Ted addressed the Committee with reasons for amending Section 5.2.4 of the General
Bylaws.
Approval of the amendment would prevent the redepositing of snow by homeowners' and
contractors' on portions of driveways and sidewalks previously eveled by the Town.
Failure to comply would result in a written warning the first time, followed by a ticket.
It was recommended that the wording be more precise and clarify whether the responsibility
lies with the homeowner or contractor.
Article 20 proposes amending the closing date of the warrant for the Annual and Subsequent
Town Meeting as requested by instructional motion of the Bylaw Committee at the 1995
Subsequent Town Meeting.
Article 20: On motion of Ed Murphy, seconded by George Theophanis, the Committee
recommended Article 20 by a vote of 4-0.
9:05 p.m. On motion of Dolores S. Carroll, seconded by Ed Murphy, the meeting was
adjourned to meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 1996.
