Members present: George Theophanis, Phil Pacino, Ed Murphy and Dolores Carroll. Guests present: Police Chief Edward Marchand, Fire Chief Donald Wood and Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner Article 15: The Committee and guests reviewed this article which would regulate the parking of motor vehicles by requiring fire lanes on public and private property. This would ensure access by emergency vehicles and enforcement by the police department. George recommended including a first paragraph explaining the intent of the bylaw. He also recommended deleting the hyphen in the word "multifamily" in line three of Paragraph 5.13.1 and the hyphen in the word "noncriminal" in the second to last line of Paragraph 5.13.6. In Paragraph 5.13.5 replace the period at the end of line two with "and marked according to the provision of Paragraph 5.13.4 of this Section 5.13. " All agreed that an exception should be made for delivery trucks. This could be accomplished by including the second sentence from Paragraph 5.13.3 as the last paragraph of 5.13.1 Peter had no problems with the recommendations and will review them with Town Counsel Ted Cohen. Article 15: On motion of Ed Murphy, seconded by Dolores Carroll, the Committee voted to recommended Article 15 with the recommended changes by a vote of 4-0. Minutes #240 were read and accepted by a vote of 4-0. 7:15 p.m. Meeting adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Dolores S. Carroll Clerk
