Mr. Drinkwater, a South Street resident, stopped by briefly for clarification of the
Noise Control Bylaw, which Town Counsel provided.
Article 4 of the Special Town Meeting was the first order of business, with Ted Cohen
explaining that the amendment came about as a result of the Court's objections to the
ZBA's discretion in granting special permits. The proposed changes in language and
reduction in the setback requirements should meet with the attorney general's approval.
Article 4: On motion of Jack Russell, seconded by Dolores S. Carroll, the Committee
voted to support Article 4 by a vote of 3-0.
Dick Howard and Brian Irwin reviewed a draft warrant article for Fall Town Meeting
which amends the Zoning Bylaws to include "an assisted living facility" in Section
2.2.2.3. and dimensional changes to Section 4.3.1.4. Jack recommended substituting the
word "and" with "or" between the words "buildings" and "parking areas" in Section
4.3.1.4.h.. The Committee decided to postpone action until the motion is placed on the
warrant.
8:25 p.m. On motion of Jack Russell, seconded by Dolores Carroll, meeting was
adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Dolores S. Carroll
