The Committee discussed the javelin and discus area and whether or not it could be moved to a better location. Some committee members felt that the sun might be an issue and that is why it is in it's current location. J. Feudo introduced Peter Coumounduros from Friends of Reading Recreation. Peter presented the concept of creating a wiffle ball park at the old imagination station site. He explained that he believed that a wiffle ball park had benefits such as being a pervious surface and could help retain some of the green space. A wiffle ball park would also be a facility that is good for people of all ages. J. Maughan felt it might be difficult to have a field on that area as there is a conservation need of 35 feet of frontage to satisfy the surface replacement taken from the HS track "D" zones. G. Gresh thought it might be good to invite the Town engineer to visit with committee to look at the size of the area and to see what might fit depending on what happens with the road. J. Maughan made a motion to adjourn. M. Kozlowski seconded the motion. Motion to ~adjourn passed 6-0-0.
