N. Swain announced that the Recreation Committee would entertain nominations for FY06 chair
and vice-chairs of the committee. J. Downing nominated Patrick Fennelly for Vice-Chair. F.
Driscoll seconded the motion. Due to the fact that P. Fennelly was not in attendance to accept the
nomination, it will be tabled until the July meeting.
M. Stolecki nominated Nancy-Linn Swain for Chairperson of the Recreation Committee. F.
Driscoll seconded the nomination. N. Swain accepted the nomination. Clerk casts one vote in favor
of N. Swain as chairperson of the Recreation Committee for FY06.
Administrator's Report
J. Feudo went over summer camp numbers. He stated that camp was approximately 75% full. This
is ahead of the past two summers. J. Feudo attributes the success to the facilities available at
Coolidge Middle School and the Staff, including D. McGrath who makes a significant impact on a
day to day basis. Junior Camp numbers are very low. The Recreation Division plans on calling the
parents of Junior Campers to give them the option of being intertwined with the Regular Camp for a
half day or receiving a refund. J. Feudo also announced the Junior Camp will be open to 3 year old
participants as well.
J. Feudo mentioned that the other programs numbers were down from years past. This has to do
with the change in structure from full week 25 hour programs (5 days/5 hours) down to 15 hour
programs (5 days/3 hours). Most people seem to be looking for the full day and full week activities.
Some of the programs have been limited to 4 days with the 5th being a rain date. Programs should
all be back to normal next Summer when the fieldhouse comes back on-line.

a Sunday morning permit for Morton Field on 6/12 at 10:00 AM for their annual Reading Baseball
Alumni Game. J. Feudo also granted Reading Youth Softball a permit for Sunday mornings until
6/26 beginning at 10:00 AM at the lighted and street softball fields to make up games due to all the
