The day grossed about $55,000. This is right on pace from the previous year. The day was again coupled with the Coolidge Yard sale. Next year we will look to do it on a separate day as lack of parking becomes a deterrent for people to stop in and sign up. Intergenerational Programming Night will be May 20th. The game will be "Name That TV Tune". I will be hosting the program at the Senior Center beginning at 5:00 PM with Pizza. J. Feudo stated he has been working on a grant for the Summer youth Employment Program. The program takes money from ARRA and allocates it to cities and towns to hire troubled or less fortunate youth. Reading would have up to 5 positions. The grant is being written to provide workers to help with parks, schools and the library. A reminder that Reading Friends and Family Day will take place on June 20th from 11 - 3 PM. The fireworks will start at approximately 9:15 PM. The Bancroft Tennis Courts are in the final stages of negotiations with the Town and contractor.
