HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-02-21 Finance Committee MinutesFinance Committee Meeting February 21, 1998 The Finance Committee met in the library of the Coolidge middle school on Birch Meadow Drive , Reading, Massachusetts at 9:00 a.m. Present were Chair Jim Keigley, Vice Chair Carol Grim, Finance Committee members Catherine Markin, Richard McDonald, Lawrence Penta, Paul Kurker and James Francis. Superintendent H K Harutunian, Sue Caviclu , and Tim Twoomey from the School Committee. Russ Graham of the School Building Conunittee presented the path of the conclusion to present the Coolidge School Project as an Article on the Warrant of the Special Town Meeting. Principal John Doherty of the Coolidge Middle School Spoke on enrollment projections and the need to renovate and include an addition to the present building. Gene Raymond of Strekalovsky and Hoit made a presentation as to the design and construction desired. On a motion by Jim Francis seconded by Cathy Martin the Finance Committee voted to adjourn at 10:35 a.m. by a vote of 6-0-0 Respectfully submitted J A KeigleY Chair.
