Moved salary for Chief Marchand as follows: base of $29,300, $300 for longevity, and $2000 for Keeper of the Jail, with future salary adjustments to be made on the base salary of $29,300. Moved to postpone Personnel Board article on 1/4 range. Discussed Chief's car and phone. Assigned special articles for presentation. Board of Selectmen - Minutes Record 4/7/80 Met with Insurance Committee and Personnel Board. Approved renewal of auctioneer.'s license for William Hillsou, Jr. , Herbert Perry, Sally M. Hoyt, Carl & Barbara Stinson, Marvin Rosenthal. Mr. Rosenthal abstained from voting on his renewal. Approved one day all alcoholic beverage licenses for Reading Masonic Building Association for 4/19/80, and Austin Prep School for 4/26/80 and 5/3/80. Signing of Woburn Easement postponed pending receipt of additional information. Notice from the Dept. of Revenue regarding appropriation limits for Fiscal 81. SignedCancer proclamation. Request from COA that change in grade of their secretary be considered for town meeting. Board indicated that warrant was closed and matter could not be handled in that way at this time. Discussed traffic situation in area with Mr. Fred VanMagness, 243 Franklin Street.
