Members Present: J. Russell, M. O'Brien, P. Dustin, M. Rosenthal and P. Landers.
Meeting took place at High School prior to Town Meeting.
The Board discussed various articles and motions for Town Meeting and then
took the following action:
Article 6 - It was voted to approve $15,000 for
appraisal costs for John St. Land.'
Article 6 - It was voted that a committee to
relocate the D.P.W. from John St.
should consist of I member from
D.P.W. ; one member from the
Board of Selectmen, one member
from the Board of Health, one
member from the Planning Board
and one member from the Industrial
Development Committee. In addition,
two members would come from citizens
at large.
Article 10 - The Board voted to reconsider Article
10 and then voted to support Article
10. The vote was 5 - 0 in favor.
Article 26 - The Board voted to approve the•sum of
$25,000 for expenses to sell the Depot.
The Board then met briefly with Town Counsel to discuss his ruling that the bills
incurred by workman's compensation must come under the Law Committee. Mrs. O'Brien
and Mr. Rosenthal stated they did not feel the Law Committee should have jurisdiction
over insurance funds and requested more information from Mr. Cohen.
