It was moved, seconded and voted S:O to write a letter to our Senators to indicate the Selectmens opposition to Senate Bill 1807. It was moved, seconded and voted S: O to approve the bill from Tyler & Reynolds Inc. , 1/12 of the annual retainer at $6,500 and expenses of $43.00 for a total of $6,543.00. It was moved' seconded and voted 00 that the Board accept the bid of Ms. Theiss Winkler for the sum of $101.00 for the Cemetery House at 270 Pearl Street with the provision that we be informed of the time required to move the house so that we can be sure it is acceptable and that Mrs. Winkler notify the Board as to the time needed. ! | Mrs. Ziegler amended the motion that Mrs. Winkler be required to carry the necessary insurances so that the Town is not liable after the house is sold and that she follow the scope outlined in the proposal. The amendment was seconded and voted & O. Gecretary Nigro next opened the FY87 Fuel Oil Bids, with the following results: North Atlantic Petroleum #408 Fuel Oil - Net Price - .2876 cents per gallon. Belcher New England - $405 Fuel Oil - Net Price - .2869 cents per gallon. ^ Delta Fuel Co. - #2 Fuel Oil - Net Price - .3935 cents per gallon. Secretary Nigro next read the Notice of Public Hearing at 9: 00 P.M. for the purpose of determining if Donut Maker, Inc. , 454 Main Street, should be allowed to operate 24 hours per day. / | ^ Board of Selectmen Meeting of September 8, 1986 Page 3 ' | | � Mr. Henry Plumber of 129 Ash Street stated the Donut Maker area is very loud. Trash pickup occurs at 5| 30 A.M. Richard DeAngelis stated that corner is a zoo all the time - they are constantly driving through our lots, and the litter is a serious problem. It was moved, seconded and voted QO to close the hearing at 946 P.M. It was moved, seconded and voted S:O to deny the request for a 24 hour license at the Donut Maker Inc. It was moved, seconded and voted SIO to inform the owners of Christy's Inc. and Donut Maker Inc. that consistent with our operational policy and in accordance with the By-Laws, the pick-up of trash and the } � noisy situation will not be tolerated prior to 7: 00 A.M. with a copy of ^-~ this letter to the Chief of Police. It was moved, seconded and voted S: O to advise the Chief of Police that the Board of Selectmen have received complaints relative to the youth control in the area of Elm Park and the parking lot surrounding Christy's Market, Donut Maker, Inc. , Benchmark Mechanics and Action Class. It was moved, seconded and voted 6:0 that Christy's Market has no authority to be open 24 hours per day, and to notify the Chief of Police that it is the policy of the Board of Selectmen not to keep any operation open 24 hours per day. Chairman Landers left the meeting at 9:10 P.M The Board next discussed the Bear Hill Site. Mr. Russell stated we need an appraisal for best use. We should be very careful about defining the meets and bounds of the area and any restrictions we have on it. We should get together a package for an appraiser.
