Board of Selectmens Meeting of July 14 , 1986 Page 1 A meeting of the Board of Selectmen convened in the Executive Offices , 6 Lowell Street , Reading , Ma . at 7 : 30 P.M. Present were Chairman Landers , Vice-Chairman Ziegler , Secretary Nigro , and Board Member Graham. Also in attendance was Acting Executive Secretary Anthony V . Fletcher, .P. E. It was moved , seconded and voted 4 : 0 to accept the minutes of the Board of Selectmen ' s Meeting of June 30 , 1986 as amended . It was moved , seconded and voted 4 : 0 to accept the minutes of the Board of Selectmen' s Meeting of July 10, 1986 as amended . Mr . Russell joined the meeting at 7 : 45 P.M. It was moved , seconded and voted 4 : 0 : 1 to rename the former Town Library the Town Hall Executive Offices . The Board next discussed the change of title for Mr . William A. Redford , presently Assistant Superintendent of Engienering to "Town Engineer" . Mr . Fletcher explained that in no way would his duties change , however , "Town Engineer" more accurately describes his function . It was the concensus of the Board that Mr . Fletcher check into the Personnel By-Laws and report back to the Board at a later date the logistics for changing the title Assistant Superintendent of Engineering to "Town Engineer" . The Board next discussed the establishment of a formal outline for the three interviews to be held for Town Manager . The Selectmen agreed that the interviews should be kept strictly to 12 hours each. After a very lengthy discussion , and an overview of the references of each of the candidates , an outline was established and is attached and made a part of the permanent record of this meeting . It was moved , seconded and voted 5 : 0 to adjourn at 10 : 20 P.M.
