HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-10-13 Board of Selectmen Minutes Board of Selectmen-October 13, 1987 Meeting convened at 7 : 30 P.M. The following members were present; John Russell Chairman, Russell Graham Secretary, Mollie Ziegler, Paul Landers, Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner, and the following citizens; Donald C. Allen, Brian McMenimen, Dick Lynch, Charles Catalfamo, Randy Harrison, Liz Green, Bill Burdett, Lisa Feldman, Jack Rivers, Virginia Adams, Mary Bowen, Stephen Viegas, ` Barbara Cades , George Paul, William Campbell, William Brian, Linda Driscoll , Frank Driscoll . On motion by Ziegler and seconded by Graham the minutes of September 28, 1987 were ap- proved 3-0-1. Liason reports - Paul Landers thanked all the members of the Fire Facility Study Committee for their commitment over the summer. The committee consisted of Pete Hechenbleikner, Len Redfern, Wil- liam Campbell , Elizabeth Greene , Thomas Stohlman and William Brown. George Paul, from Fire Safety Consultants, Inc. gave his presen- tation of the need for a new fire station. Len Redfern showed slides of the present fire stations. Attached to these minutes is the Fire Facility Study Committee Report. On motion by Landers seconded by Graham the Board recommended Ar- ticles 18 & 19 to Town Meeting by a vote of 4-0-0 . On motion by Landers seconded by Graham the Board approved 4-0-0 the Liquor Pouring Policy. Municipal Space Presentation - Present were 'Nils Nordberg, Marty Kretsch, Henry Higgot. Nils Nordberg gave a slide presentation on every office at Town Hall and showed the need for work in these offices. On motion by Ziegler seconded by Landers the Board voted 4-0-0 to establish a Solid Waste Advisory Subcommittee, a subcommittee of the Hazardous Waste Committee. On motion by Landers seconded by Graham the Board voted 4-0-0 to reduced the Performance Bond for Continental Cablevision from $150,000 to $100,000. fa ' r 1 g On motion by Landers seconded by Graham the Board voted 4-0-0 to establish a Blueprint 2000 Municipal Advisory Committee. Members "appointed to this committee were; Jonathan Edwards, Ruth Cogan, 'Robert Munnelly and Pete Hechenbleikner . , On motion by Ziegler seconded `by Landers the Board voted 4-0-0 to have Health Stop as the Town Physician.
