May 5, 1994
The meeting was convened at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Room, 16
Lowell Street, Reading, MA. Present were Chairman George Hines,
Vice Chairman Bill Burditt, Secretary Sally Hoyt, Selectmen Dan
Ensminger and Camille Anthony, Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner
and Town Counsel Theodore Cohen.
On motion by Burditt seconded by Hoyt the Board voted to approve
the change of Reading's election equipment from punch card to
Accu-Vote optical scanner equipment, said optical equipment to be
implemented with the Primary Election on September 20, 1994. The
motion was approved by a vote of 5-0-0.
On motion by Burditt seconded Ensminger the Board voted to ap-
prove the use of the Town Seal for the Suburban News 350th Edi-
tion. The motion was approved by a vote of 5-0-0.
On motion by Burditt seconded by Hoyt the Board voted to go into
Executive Session for the purpose of discussing strategy with
respect to litigation, not to come back into open session. On a
roll call vote all members voted in the affirmative and the mo-
tion was carried. The meeting was adjourned to Executive Session
at 7:39 p.m.
