Chair Richard Lopez called the meeting to order 7:02 pm. Roll call: Sal Bramante, Kerry Donnell, Sophie Hansen, Kevin Sexton, Joan Wetzel, Richard Lopez, Aditya Bengali Chair Richard Lopez reviews the agenda: minutes reviewal, public comment, monthly department and nursing updates Review of February 12, 2025. minutes: Chair Richard Lopez noted that "West" in paragraph two should be capitalized. He also inquired whether Member Kevin Sexton had raised the concern regarding First Baptist Church rescinding their request for an outdoor refrigerator. Following discussion among staff and board members, Richard suggested that the Administrative Assistant, Haley Murphy, review the minutes to confirm who introduced the topic. The Board agreed to defer approval of February 12th minutes to the next meeting. Public Comment: None Monthly Department andMonthly Department and Nursing Health Director Ade Solaria reported that all food inspections are up to date, due in part to the efforts of the new Health Inspector, Zerihun Ayele. In February, 26 food establishment inspections were completed, along with two reinspection's and three complaint inspections. Page 1 1 Three establishments underwent changes in ownership. Additionally, seven temporary food permits were issued, eight housing inspections were conducted, and four solid waste inspections were completed. Public Health Nurse Liv Bartolomei reported that in February there were 20 COVID-19 cases and 66 influenza cases. She announced three upcoming blood pressure screenings on March 5, 2026, at the Pleasant Street Senior Center, March 16, 2026, at the Public Library, and March 19, 2026, at Frank Tanner. Liv noted that March is Autoimmane Disease Awareness Month, as well as National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, National Brain Injury Awareness Month, and Women's History Month, highlighting Mattiedna Johnson's contributions to the development of a treatment for scarlet fever, which led to the discovery of Terramycin. She also reported that the Health Department continues its medical and diabetes supply take -back programs. Member Kerry Dunnell requested an update on the Shared Services Program and asked whether Ade had received the Performance Standards Survey. Ade confirmed receipt and stated he has begun working on it. Kerry explained that the survey is required under SAPHE 2.0 to assess departmental capacity and compliance with public health requirements and support funding for shared services and training. Member Kevin Sexton asked whether this should be added to a future agenda. Ade Solaria stated the survey itself does not need to be an agenda item. Keay emphasized the importance of SAPHE 2.0 for Board awareness and legislative advocacy, and Kevin noted that funding opportunities should be brought before the Board for review. Keay suggested inviting the Shared Services Coordinator to a future meeting, and Ade agreed, noting that an internal issue within the Shared Services Collaborative should be addressed first.
