permits were issued, eight housing inspections were conducted, and four solid waste inspections
were completed.
Public Health Nurse Liv Bartolomei reported that in February there were 20 COVID-19 cases
and 66 influenza cases. She announced three upcoming blood pressure screenings on March 5,
2026, at the Pleasant Street Senior Center, March 16, 2026, at the Public Library, and March 19,
2026, at Frank Tanner. Liv noted that March is Autoimmane Disease Awareness Month, as well
as National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, National Brain Injury Awareness
Month, and Women's History Month, highlighting Mattiedna Johnson's contributions to the
development of a treatment for scarlet fever, which led to the discovery of Terramycin. She also
reported that the Health Department continues its medical and diabetes supply take -back
programs.
Member Kerry Dunnell requested an update on the Shared Services Program and asked whether
Ade had received the Performance Standards Survey. Ade confirmed receipt and stated he has
begun working on it. Kerry explained that the survey is required under SAPHE 2.0 to assess
departmental capacity and compliance with public health requirements and support funding for
shared services and training. Member Kevin Sexton asked whether this should be added to a
future agenda. Ade Solaria stated the survey itself does not need to be an agenda item. Keay
emphasized the importance of SAPHE 2.0 for Board awareness and legislative advocacy, and
Kevin noted that funding opportunities should be brought before the Board for review. Keay
suggested inviting the Shared Services Coordinator to a future meeting, and Ade agreed, noting
that an internal issue within the Shared Services Collaborative should be addressed first.
