The Community Preservation Act was discussed. A motion was made and seconded to support the passage of the Community Preservation Act. Approved 4-0 Current Projects a) Brandy completed the Kiosks at Pinevale. Signage needed at Bare Meadow, including the hunting regulations. b) Update on Pinevale survey- Surveyor's observations at entrance/trailhead at Warren Ave. The survey has been completed. A trail entrance will be put in by the Town shorty. The CONSCOM is looking at how to fund signage. More work needs to be done on establishing the alignment of the trail. John will visit and take some pictures. c) Update on chainsaw safety - communications with Reading Lumber. No update. d) Troop 702 communications. Two bridges were built by Next Step last summer, one in the place where the scout was going to construct his bridge project. John will speak to him about doing a similar project in Higgins Woods. Page 11 e) Alligator Ally - Wood End side - has about 40' of work that needs to be done. A Scout may take this on. The Trails Comm. can take on repairing the two junctures that are a trip hazard until the whole area is replaced. In the last day, a branch full on the boardwalk on the council ring end and destroyed a bi chunk of it. e) Sturgis Park cleanup. More work is still needed. Sunday, Nov. 16, 9-3 will be our next work day at Sturgis. 4) Future Projects - Priority List i) Removal of brush from Sturgis Park cleanup Ask the DPW to survey the easement at 443 Haverhill St. This should be done prior to dropping off the wood chips. 1) Symonds Way Trallhead. Nothing decided yet 5) Budget Update and stock purchases. Nothing new. 6) Next meeting on Dec. 3 at 6:30 at the Town Hall Meeting adjourned at 8:15 Page 1 2
