1) Approve December meeting minutes.

2) Current Projects
a) Trail adopters program - communications, outreach.
• Discussion about updating Volunteer list and trail adopters list
• Discussion on tracking hours and if we are required or need to track
• Discussion of removal of tree stands that were left and discussion around
hunting options
b) TC files and correspondence - accessibility, file sharing.
• File sharing platform - Will be using gdrive and adding access to the
committee
• Outside inquiries will be redirected
c) Pinevale survey.

• Work is scheduled for Spring - there is a 6ft space on warren ave for the
entrance - NextStep volunteers
• Will revisit site - will require more boardwalk than previously thought
• Will Finch will create a stock list of what is needed
• Coordinate trails committee member to be available during build to supervise
d) Chainsaw safety - outreach to Reading Lumber, others.
• Continued for future outreach
e) Diane Weggel project - update on survey.
• Survey is done for Sturgis
• Discussion of new plan for culvert - adding concrete piping for the stream and
trail to go over it
• Going to approach the property owner of the adjacent property to see if they
would agree to an easement
• Proposing a new project for a bridge to be added in the middle of the trail,
smaller bridge option to be built instead of the larger bridge idea
• Discussion on bridge design options - and asking DPW about adding footings
for the build
f) Outreach to AVIS.
• Ben will reach out to Avis for a connection
3) Future Projects
i) Alligator alley bridge reinforcements - Eagle project likely slated for March -April
timeframe. Approved.
11) Symonds Way alternative - project put on hold
III) Pinevale trails and bridge construction - scheduled.
iv) Timberneck Trail. - space to put in a trail along the creek
4) Budget Update and stock/equipment purchases.
• Gator options - combine with other committee's and conservation to find utility
vehicle
5) Public outreach and conference opportunities - MA Land Conservation Conference
(Amherst, 3/13/26). Local events?
• MACC conference - no trails related sessions
6) Other Items not reasonably anticipated 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
• Discussion on posting of hunting signs and whose responsibilities
• Tuesday the CPA committee will be at Select board meeting at 7:40
• Town Meeting member - closes on Feb 12

Purpose: Trails Committee Meeting

Notices and agendas are to be posted 48 hours in advance of the meetings
excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Legal Holidays. Please keep in mind the Town Clerk's
hours of operation and make necessary arrangements to be sure your posting is made in
an adequate amount of time. A listing of topics that the chair reasonably anticipates will
be discussed at the meeting must be on the agenda.
All Meeting postings must be submitted in typed format; handwritten notices will not be
