PD elevated VA to a voting member 186 Summer Ave -Joint Public Hearing with Reading Historical Commission PD gave an overview of the catastrophic fire that destroyed the barn and heavily damaged the home at 186 Summer Ave. Several members of the HDC and RHC asked the owner some questions regarding insurance, damage assessment and future plans forthe property. Mr. O'Neill said that he and his partner, Jerry Lamb, still had not made a decision regarding the future of the property. RHC subsequently voted to impose and then release the Demolition Delay for the property. PD made a motion to extinguish the Preservation Restriction Agreement for the property, citing the destruction of the home from the fire, pursuant to Paragraph 26 of the Agreement. EB seconded. The motion passed 5-0. PD made a motion to issue a Certificate of Appropriateness, allowing the demolition of the house. PD noted that the neighbors were already notified of the pending demolition via the Public Hearing notice that was sent out. VA seconded. The motion passed 5-0. Since a Public Hearing was already held a future one is not needed. ADF will issue the Certificate of Appropriateness. PD made a motion to close the Public Hearing. EB seconded. The HDC portion of the evening was closed with a 5-0 vote. PD made a motion to adjourn. EB seconded. Meeting adjourced after 5-0 vote.
