Chair Alan Foulds called the meeting to order at 8:04 pm. Interview Incumbents seekino Reappointment and New Applicants for the Permanent Building Committee Kirk McCormick (Incumbent) Kirk McCormick Is an incumbent member of the Permanent Building Committee seeking reappointment. He has been practicing construction law for 25 years. He became interested In the Permanent Building Committee after the High School project. He is excited about the two high -profile projects currently before the Permanent Building Committee: the new Killam School, and the Reading Center for Active Living (ReCAL), which are about to enter the bid phase. He stated that he has no known conflicts of interest, and continually checks to ensure that he does not as these projects progress. Mike Nauaro (Incumbent Associate) Mike Nazzaro is an incumbent associate member of the Permanent Building Committee seeking reappointment. He has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years and currently works for an Owner's Project Manager (OPM) flrn. He noted that the work on the ReCAL project has been interesting and would like to stay on the Committee. He feels that he can offer his expertise as the Committee enters the phase of hiring contractors. He stated that he has no known conflicts of interest but will be on the lookout as the Committee starts to hire Construction Managers. Deliberate and Vote on Appointments to the Permanent Building Committee Shawn Brandt nominated Kirk McCormick for reappointment to the Permanent Building Committee for a term beginning July 1, 2025, and expiring June 30, 2028, which was seconded by Chris Haley. Roll call vote: Chris Haley - Yes, Shawn Brandt - Yes, Alan Foulds - Yes. 1,' 1 Shawn Brandt nominated Mike Nazzaro for reappointment as an associate member to the Permanent Building Committee for a term beginning July 1, 2025, and expiring June 30, 2027, which was seconded by Chris Haley. Roll call vote: Chris Haley - Yes, Shawn Brandt - Yes, Alan Foulds - Yes. Approve Prior Meeting Minutes On a motion by Shawn Brandt, seconded by Chris Haley, the Permanent Building Committee Appointment Committee voted 3-0 to accept the meeting minutes of July 15, 2024. Roll call vote: Chris Haley - Yes, Shawn Brandt - Yes, Alan Foulds - Yes. On a motion by Chris Haley, seconded by Shawn Brandt, the Permanent Building Committee Appointment Committee voted 3-0 to adjourn at 8:15 pm.
