Approval of Minutes from Previous Meetina
The committee reviewed the draft minutes from the 2024-05-01meeting.
Correction Noted (SB):
• The Preservation Trust Fund balance included a period instead of a comma.
• Corrected balance: $49,141
Motion: AR moved to approve the minutes with the correction noted.

Vote: 4-0 in favor. Motion passed
Reviewed Finances (SB)
Trust Fund Balances
• Celebration Fund (350): $14,991.23
• 4000h Celebration Fund: $27,273.95
• Historical Preservation Fund: $54,271.28

Review Grant Applications
1. Reading -North Reading Chamber of Commerce for Annual Town Tree Lighting
• Requested in the amount of $6,802
• The committee determined that the application was incomplete. One required
page was missing, and necessary supporting information was not provided.
Motion: PR moved to not accept the application until a complete application is
submitted.
Second: SB
Vote: 4-0 in favor. Motion passed
Follow up:
KH will contact the Chamber of Commerce to request a revised and complete grant
application.
2. Reading Lions Club requesting funds to support the 20' Annual Reading Friends and
Family Day (RFFD) / Town Day on June 14�h, 2025
• Requested in the amount of $1,500
• Application was complete and accepted as submitted
Motion: PR moved to approve the full $1,500 funding request, with a note that as
the fund balance decreases, future grants may need to be lower in amount.
Second: AR
Vote: 4-0 in favor. Motion passed.
Other Busines
Grant Application Form Updates
SB will update the grant request forms for future use. Updates will include:
• Improved clarity on required information
• Creation of two separate forms: one for Celebration Grants, one for Historical
Grants
• Updated forms will be reviewed for adoption at the next meeting.
Celebration Committee Town Landina Facie
• SB and PR will submit requests to Town webpage administrator to update
Celebration Committee landing page with the following:
o Previous grants approved to showcase benefits delivered to the town
residents.

Motion: AR moved to elect KH as Chair.
Second: PR
Vote: 3-0 in favor. Motion passed. (KH abstained)
Secretary Election
Motion: SB moved to elect AR as Secretary.
