The December 2024 minutes were approved 3-0. There may be a person interested in helping out with trail development of the Boyd property (ROLT). Chuck has a proposed bridge project at Sturgis Park - Hemlock Road - that the Scouts might want to take on. We need to blaze the southern part of the Evergreen Trail. We don't want to lose the easement into the Ceder Swamp at 443 Haverhill St. We should blaze a simple trail into the property. This will be put on out to do list. The Mystic Link Trail that passes through Reading. They are using established trails so there isn't work needed. Internal communications of our committee were discussed. Are we in compliance with the Open Meeting Law? What do we have to do to make sure we are complying? We should be Page 1 1 more careful about "replying all" to any and all committee emails. Try and communicate through the Chair (John). The committee will send a sympathy card to Reading Lumber in memory of Charlie Strout. We need to reschedule a Pinevale Trail site visit to look at a new connection to Washinton Park. Sat., Jan. 25 at 9: OOam, meet at the corner of Center St. and Maple St. The Maple St. abutters should be made aware of this visit. We need to come up with a new way to attach Flyer to our kiosks. Velcro? We need to post Flyers to the Veterans Way entrance kiosk. JOHN WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS. An abutter to this trail has put up signs asking walkers to keep their dogs leash until they get into the woods. Should we do anything about the Flooding along the pipeline in Kurchian Woods? Budget update. $624 in gift account and $4,384.29 In our account. We should spend this down soon. The Weiggel gift is in a trust account, accruing interest. Chuck shared some information about the MBTA train project. Chuck will ask Dave and Will to visit Bare Meadow now that the cutting has been done and provide some suggestions about Woodcock habitat and vernal pools. Any thoughts about how to use the Weggel gift to honor Mrs. Weggel? Our committee will get the interest on this fund, not the Town. Meeting adjourned at 7:53 Page 1 2
