New associate member Brandy Hopkins introduced herself to the Committee. A discussion of the gift from Bob Weggel to the Trails Committee in his wife Dianes name was discussed. Bob shared some of thoughts about how he envisioned the money being used. A motion was made and seconded to accept Bob's gift. It was approved 5-0. We discussed how the money may be spent to memorialize Bob's wife and that we would report yearly of how we are progressing. The November 2024 minutes were approved 5-0. The Kyle Drive trail has been completed and Kathy has begun blazing these two new trails. We will publicize this trail. Kathy would like to see our kiosk updated on a regular basis. Some are weathering. What can we do about this? Can we use weather proof Velcro?. Ben is taking on some kiosk triage. Page 1 1 We will look to move the Wood End kiosk to the trail head at the base of the driveway. Can we put more educational materials onto the kiosks. John will ask Chuck to post the hunting rules, areas, and dates at the Bare Meadow kiosk. We have two new kiosks: Veterans Way and Maillet-Soames at Willow. The Pinevale kiosks were vandalized and need to be redone. Should we revisit the Schieder Woods trail off of Haverhill St. Its an old trail that hasn't been touched in years. Will and Dave will look into this. We have 100% Trail Adopter coverage. We have 100% Trail Adopter coverage. The north end of Pinevale Trail to Washington Park needs to have some work done. Site visit on Sat., Jan. 4 at 9:00. Meet at Parker Tavern. Conservation report. The Bare Meadow project was briefly discussed. Town Land Use Summit is scheduled for Jan. 12 from 1:00 - 4:00 at the Mattera Cabin. Should we replace the green bench that was destroyed by vandals at Lob Pound Mill? Probably not.
