Due to a change in construction plans, progress started slow, but is now almost complete and just needs our approval. Next STEP also completed work on the yellow trail in Bare Meadow. The Grove St. parking lot is under the jurisdiction of COMSCOM. They must be looped into any decision making regarding this lot. There is some erosion on the new sidewalk from the parking lot to Strout Ave. We can make note of this through the Towns "See -Fix -Click" app. Possible future projects Chuck mentioned included the need for a small bridge at the new Sturgis Park Trail, Lobs Pound Mill site can still use some work as could the abutting Marion Woods Trail. Patrick spoke about the need for some work at the intersection of the yellow and brown trails in Bare Meadow. The Committee will address this. For future boardwalk and bridge construction we need to have a set of standard in place that we can give to those considering taking on a project. Chuck will start this process and bring it to the Committee. We will need to address the trail from Hunts St. to the newly reconfigured Maillet/Soames/Morgan project that is almost completed. This will include dealing with the beaver damn. We will plan for this at the September meeting. Budget: We have $4,473.67. $526.00 was spent this summer on materials. Chuck stated that he is willing to take on more Trails Committee responsibilities to help us out if needed. The Maillet/Soames/Morgan project is on track to be opened this Fall with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Meeting adjourned at 8:13pm.
