Associate Members: Virginia Adams (VA), Ann Ward (AW) Members - Not Present: Greg Maganzini (GM) Others Present: Jerry Lamb (JL) owner of 186 Summer Ave Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Pino D'Orazio Topics of Discussion: PD called the meeting to order at 7:OOPM. PD elevated VA to a voting member. 186 Summer Avenue Jerry Lamb (1L) came in with an update to the windows for the existing portion of 186 Summer Ave. The change involved replacing the previously approved Marvin windows with Harvey windows for the 28 windows on the existing portion of the home. The Harvey windows will be Ya" thicker than the windows that were previously approved. The Harvey windows will be fiberglass instead of the metal windows that were previously approved. PD made a motion to approve the changes. IB seconded. VA added a condition to save one original window for the future owners. JL agreed. Motion passed 5-0. META Communities Act The HDC discussed takeaways from the most recent MBTA Communities Act forum held at the Reading Public Library. EB attended the forum and shared his thoughts. Exoandine Historic Districts ADF gave a summary of feedback she received from the Town with regard to a proposed letter that the HDC wants to send to homes in and around the Historic Districts. PD said that the HDC should meet with the Town's Community Development Director at an upcoming meeting to discuss the specifics of such a letter before sending anything out. The HDC discussed potential areas that Historic Districts could be expanded into. The HDC agreed that community outreach is a must before additional steps are taken. PD moved to adjourn the meeting. ADF seconded. Meeting adjourned after 5-0 vote Next Meeting: September 18, 2024
