Present: Virginia Blodgett, Chairman Ron Stortz, Vice Chair Caitlin Salmon, Secretary William Brown Brian Boyle Carl McFadden Absent: Sally Hilgendorff Also Present: Michael Hannaford, Supervisor Michael O'Halloran, Administration Review of Past Meetine Minutes Meeting was called to order at 6:00 by Virginia Blodgett, seconded by Caitlin Salmon. The minutes will be reviewed at the next meeting. Discussion • Waiver on Monument Regulation at Charles Lawn Page 1 1 06F. Town of Reading Meeting Minutes o Motion trade by Bill Brown, seconded Carl McFadden Gravestone Restoration Update o Mike has been working very closely with them to address errors, they had great references, but learning now that one town may not have been the best results. is Have been doing some damage to the stones instead of repairing them ■ Partial payment was given before work was completed is In spring they were using wrong materials (green epoxy, silicone) to put stones back together is Errors have been addressed and with Jayne and Town Manager at the end of the meeting the company have admitted to mistakes • Better communication on when they are coming and going • Projects are being completed and are being done effectively • Almost done, just a few left that need some clean up and a bit more fillings • The June 1 at deadline should be met. o Before and after pictures could be used to hopefully gain more funding to fix any remaining damaged stones or maybe wall work. o Rob S. is still willing to help maintain, fix any stones that were not repaired correctly. General Business is Parking0riving during pick-up from school at Laurel Hill o Curbing would help to prevent some cars from driving/parking on the grass o When would be appropriate to request curbing to extend down the path entering Laurel Hill o Should signage be posted by the gate to preventlinf rrm people is Lowell Street wall has been finished up - looks great Next Meeting Monday, July Sth, 2024 at 6:00.
