Monday, July 8, 2024
Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of July 8, 2024 convened at 6:00 P.M. in
person in the Berger Room at Reading Town Hall.
Present: Virginia Blodgett, Chairman
Ron Stortz, Vice Chair
Caitlin Salmon, Secretary
Brian Boyle
Carl McFadden
Absent: Sally Hilgendorff
William Brown
Also Present: Michael Hannaford, Supervisor
Michael O'Halloran, Administration
Meeting was called to order at 6:02 by Virginia Blodgett, seconded by Caitlin Salmon.
Review of Past of Past MeetlnEMinutes
The minutes of March 41h and May IP were reviewed and approved as amended by a
vote of 5-0, on a motion by Carl McFadden and seconded by Caitlin Salmon.

Discussion
Reorganization - Carl moves to keep the same leadership, seconded by Ron, approved by a vote
of 5-0.
Membership update – Bill Brown has decided to not renew.
Bill was a member of the Veterans Memorial Fund Bd.
Carl volunteered to take Bills place on the Board. Ginny moved, seconded by Ron and
approved by a vote of 5-0 to recommend Carl take Bill place on the Board.
a Gravestone Restoration Update
o Just received a thumb drive, has not yet been reviewed.
o Last 14 were opted not to do so that the others could be focused on getting to
completion.
■ They have been paid about $35,000, but unsure if the final sealant was
competed.
■ They were waiting because the stones were not `clean".
■ The Board would not like to work with this company again.
o Should be funds to have Rob complete some final projects.
■ Mike will reach out to Rob, and touch base with Ginny about trying to get
the remaining known 14 stones completed.
o Funds are also needed to help with the invasive plants – especially at Charles
Lawn.
Civil War Veteran without a Stone
o Ginny will reach out to the Veterans Agent about getting a stone.
■ Not in a single grave so will need to discuss what stone would be
appropriate.

Next Meeting Monday, September 16, 2024 at 6:00.
