Topics of Discussion:
PD called the joint meeting of the RHC and HDC to order at 6:3413M.
Joint Meeting with RHC: 186 Summer Avenue
Property owner 1L presented his proposed demolition of the back portion of the house and
portion of the front porch. JL submitted two applications: a Demolition Delay application for
RHC and a Certificate of Appropriateness application for HDC. The applications included draft
architectural plans of the selective demolition, an abutters list, photos, and the Assessor's Map
of the property. Draft drawings of the renovation and addition provided a front corner view and
a rear corner view of the property. The new addition will include a garage, kitchen, living room,
mudroom, and primary bedroom/bathroom.
The RHC requested an overview of the footprint of the existing structured compared with the
new addition. The RHC and HDC reviewed the requirements for public hearings, including
posting notice of the hearing, informing abutters, and final architectural drawings.
The RHC and HDC decided to hold a joint public hearing on March 20 at 7:OOPM at Town Hall.
Abutters within 300' will be notified by mail, and the hearing notice will be published 14 days in
advance.
PD made a motion to end the joint meeting and adjourn HDC for the night. ADF seconded. The
joint meeting ended and HDC adjourned their meeting by a 5-0 vote. RHC continued with their
agenda.
Next Meeting: March 20, 2024—Joint Public Hearing with RHC on 186 Summer Avenue
